GROWING OUR CAPACITY

Advancing surgical care.

In collaboration with the SWIFTSS programme, the centre received support to establish infrastructure and supplies for mesh hernia surgery. This included a suitable autoclave for sterilizing surgical mesh and a supply of mesh materials.

With this support, Sr. Temba, the centre’s surgeon, can perform mesh hernia procedures—an important step in strengthening surgical services and improving access to care in surrounding communities.
